Before MVSU
Hurtt was a four-year letterwinner at Kansas City’s O’Hara High School…..During his senior year, he averaged 23 points and 12 rebounds….Named HyVee Player of the Week in December 2011 and was a finalist for the Direnna Award, which goes to the most outstanding basketball player in Kansas City…..After high school, he played for year at Quakerdale Promise Academy in Iowa.
