Jada Terry began her coaching career at Nicholls State University, where she spent two seasons working primarily with post players. During her time with the Colonels, she played a key role in the development of Lexi Alexander, the 2023 Southland Conference Freshman of the Year and a Second Team All-Southland selection for the 2023–2024 season. She also mentored Britiya Curtis, who earned 2024 Southland Conference Freshman of the Year honors and was named Preseason Second Team All-Southland for the 2024–2025 season.
Prior to coaching, Terry played professionally overseas in Poland and Sweden. She competed at the collegiate level for Texas A&M University and later at Texas Tech University, where she led the Big 12 in rebounding (11.5 RPG) and ranked fifth in scoring (10.2 PPG).
A native of Cedar Hill, Texas, Terry was a nationally ranked recruit—rated the No. 8 post player and No. 56 overall by ESPN HoopGurlz. She was recognized as the top post player in Texas by multiple scouting services and earned All-State honors while leading Cedar Hill High School to deep playoff runs. She played AAU basketball for the powerhouse DFW Elite program.
Terry holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in Sport Management from Southern New Hampshire University. Her commitment to player development, leadership, and excellence continues to shape her path in the game.
