Former Mississippi Valley State football player Keith Ballard will soon be awarded an distinguished honor.

It was recently announced that Ballard, who was a member of the both the MVSU football and track team from 1988-92, will be inducted into the United States Flag and Touch Football League (USFTL) Hall of Fame.

The New Orleans native is one of 11 inductees of the Class of 2012 who will be honored during the USFTL National Hall of Fame Ceremony on January 19th, 2013 at the Austin Tindall Sports Complex in Kissimmee, Fla. The event begins at 1 p.m. during the USFTL National Championships.

Ballard is also a member of the 2011 MVSU Hall of Fame class.
