ITTA BENA -- The Mississippi Valley State baseball team moved up to the No. 3 spot in the SWAC East standings with a three-game sweep over the visiting Alabama A&M Bulldogs.

The Delta Devils (12-29, 10-11 SWAC) defeated the Bulldogs 5-0 and 4-3 on Saturday before completing the three-game sweep on Sunday, 10-5.

MVSU honored its five seniors on Sunday before the game. The players were Nikolas Fangonilo, Barrett Baxley, Cody Parker, Michael Lowe and Allen Cheek.

The Delta Devils are now riding a season-high four-game win streak.

Valley is set to host its final home game of the season on Tuesday at 2 p.m. against Tougaloo College.
